Well the title says it all really.
I've gone and booked a 10 night stay in Aberdeenshire for my family. My husbands maternal fam,ily still live up there and we have never gone up and visited them before now. We've never had the money or the opportuntiy. So this year has been the first year where we have really been able to extend our camping stays and so I am very excited about a 10 nighter, I have never had a 10 nighter holiday before ever.
I've persuaded hubby to give EHU a try out so we are taking that too and a toaster (we can't seem to do decent toast on our gas cookers)and a kettle and maybe even the DVD player.
The reviews of the site are both in the summer holidays and they both say it was quite so just what we need.
and the price isn't bad either at £150
It's about an hours drive to see the family, but that is a small trip in comparison to how long it takes us fro where we are now.
Thats brill, you will have a good time. Will be nice to see family .We always take the electric toaster, kettle and a laptop to watch DVD's but watch TV also as have a TV tuner and get freeview TV (we do this for the kids in the evening or if its raining). Thats a good price for 10 days. We have booked 10 days for next year at Whitefield Forest IOW, we have never done 10days either.
Have a good time, hope weather good for you.
Jackie

It's in my signature.
To my shame I never realised that Laurencekirk was classed as Aberdeenshire ..... thought Laurencekirk was Kincardineshire ! Mind you, once upon a time I think it was... maybe not though.. ?!
It might well be, because the family live in Cults and I used the mapo search and put cults as the main place and did an area search from there. It's within the 20 mile radius though so can't be too far from Aberdeenshire.
edit just checked and the address is Aberdeenshire
Yep, Laurencekirk used to be Kincardineshire but it all changed in the 70's..
Will be interested hear about that site as its close to us.
Hopefully the Stonehaven open air pool will be open by then and you will have nice weather to come and enjoy it.

Didn't know about the open air pool at Stonehaven.
We are usually very lucky with the weather so am pretty certain we'll be bringing the summer sun with us.
We had looked at Deeside but opted for the cheaper site as not so much there and might be quiter.

Dont forget to visit my home town, beautiful Banchory. Also look out for Rob Roy's statue in Culter when you pass.
there are soo many beautiful places up there I'll probably miss a load of them. I'll try my best to have a nose around your town, but no promises.
I'd love a day in Aberdeen myself but I can't see it happening with 4 autstic people in tow. Hubby just doesn't do big towns, so chances are we'll be enjoying the smaller towns
A tip - give Aberdeen a miss. Once upon a time it was a nice city (though always somewhat depressing on a dreech day with all the grey granite) but now it's sad looking litter strewn seedy dump.
Union street especially has gone to the dogs, lost it's identity thanks mainly to the various faceless shopping centres which plague most of our cities these days. It's a great shame.
Stonehaven used to be really nice (not been in a long time) Banchory & the rest of Royal Deeside is lovely. Strathdon is lovely too. Enjoy your holiday
