Hello,

Just wondering if anyone is going to have a look at the tent exhibition that opens tomorrow at the Blakemere Centre? I'm going over on Saturday as weather is looking good and need to get tent ideas for Guides (not at all looking for another one for us....honest!!)

May be see someone there!

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

Hi Yes we are going too. We have only recently got a new tent but we are looking for a smaller one for quick weekend trips. We have invited 4 other camping couples to go with us! We are going Sunday and the weather is looking good too!

We are going with our friends we've converted to camping......and to Outwell! They want the vermont xl! So got to go and help them check it out....if they have it. Going to pop to Caseys outdoors at Grovenor garden centre at wrexham/chester roundabout on way home, Well....it'd be rude not too!

Ooh, I'm really tempted now; both those places are within reach for me. I struggle to justify another tent purchase, given how rarely I get away - but the bending and kneeling is becoming more uncomfortable as time goes on, so perhaps I should think ahead... and maybe just have a little look at what's available!

We passed there today and saw all the tents erected. We would have stopped for a nosey, but had to rush back - was very tempted though, as it looked like a good display. Have a good time, and hopefully the sun will be shining!

Oooh tent porn, can't beat it. Remember going to Blakemere last year. Came away with a burning itch for a weekend tent. Itch scratched..Got an Icarus 500 now for quick darts over to the Lleyn at the weekend. We love Caseys too. Really nice people always happy to give you some time and free advice - and we like looking at the folding campers.....mmmm maybe next year...

I live just down the road from Blakemere and am going to an 80's disco there on Saturday night (can't believe I put my name down for it). If I get fed up, which I will,  I'll go and have a mooch around the tents then slope off early

Well, We went and it was SO hot we had to abandon the trip due to our two little girls. They didn't share the same passion for tents as their parents! There was a lot of tents but it was biased towards Outwells! They were very expensive as well. Better deals can be found on the web. We went looking for a smaller Sprayway but they only had one
where as last year they had the full range

We were there today - not that I'm looking for a new tent but it was soooooo hot I couldn't even stand being inside some of the tents

Is it me or are tents getting wider and bigger
