Thanks Martin

I've found that there is a Co-op in Grange over sands which is a little over 3 miles away. We'll be taking a fair bit of gear anyway so will just be for extra bits n bobs.

Diane and Paul,
When you go to Blue Dolphin, there is a tesco in Filey, A morrisons on the outskirts of Scarborough. Cant say I saw an Asda which is unusual, theyre usually on every street corner. Just be prepared for using the car every time you go out. One place we did find and I cant be 100% on directions because we found it by chance, a pub doing carvery for about £5 every day. Turn left along the main road towards bridlington, past primrose valley to a roundabout-turn right. As you turn right its signposted as a pub (cant remember name) and carvery £5ish. As you turn up that road there is a camping and caravanning club site on the right. Just keep going up that road, youll see the pub on the right. Absolutly fantastic food-highly recommended. I just hope you can find it. Try Hunmanby.

Hi tpops, were off there (kiln park) for our first ever camping trip in July. Was thinking about getting the awning for our monty 6 but didnt think it would be worth it for haven as it's 6.4 x 6.4 pitch. How did you manage to get that up as well?

Any tips you can offer me for our stay?

Thanks for that Martin and we will look out for the pub. At the moment Im saving little plastic bottles so we can put some drink in when we go out in the evening to watch the entertainment as Ive already been told the drinks are a bit pricey. You wouldnt happen to know how much the laundrette is at these places as i am hoping to keep clothes to the minimal if i can.

It's called Scalby Manor - and the carvery is £3.69 and delicious.  If you look on the Crown Carvery website you'll find directions - but it's on the scalby/burniston road.  Was packed when we got there, but they take your name and soon have a table ready.

Also - if you've got kids, can highly recommend Playdale Farm just outside Cayton

Sorry, no idea with launderettes. What is a launderette anyway?LOL. We usually only go for about 4 or 5 days so we have enough clothes to avoid washing. You can buy big drinks bottles for about £4 including drink, the next night, fill it with lemonade from the local tesco and smuggle it in yourselves. Dont think they work so good with beer though.lol. Oh, yeah, go to the entertainment early if you want a seat-I mean before 7pm. There just aint enough chairs to go round.

That said, have a great holiday.

Not sure about the kids wanting to go to the farm though (both 15), but I wouldnt mind going just to see the animals lol
