We had gusts of upto 75mph (apparently....and it felt like it!) with rain recently when we were already camped. It was totally unexpected and not on weather forecast that morning! We had already been there 5 days, it eventually settled to a manageable 35 for several hours. Tent stayed up but it was a bit scary at times!
------------- I don't need it...I'm not buying it....but I really WANT it!
i was in the bad winds/gales last year...spent a day and a sleepless night 'tent watching'..
the deltas held strong but my nerves gave way and i had to pack up and leave(lucky as the winds got much worse the following days and wrecked many tents along the east coast sites)
Bernie...
yes it's seahouses we are off to...the BBC weather is ok...but on previous hollys we have gone by Accuweather and it has always been fairly accurate...hope this time it is wrong...
I check 3 different weather sites then believe the two that match closest, or sometimes I believe the best one if I want to cheer myself up. I find Netweather.tv the most accurate one though

Sorry I am useless with advice, as I would still go. Double check in the morning. Hopefully, it will be a great camping weather report.
If you do decide to go, have a safe journey and a lovely, well earnt relaxing break. xx
Thanks...
happy to report that the forecast this morning has reverted to a nice sensible 'just a little breezy'...yaaay
just busy packing the car and will be off come 10am...
anyone near seahouses (springhill)drop in for a cuppa ,you'll easily spot us..two 'girls' watchin tennis and quaffing pink fizzy ladywine ...(probably in the rain..but hey-ho..it's a break)
Kit, take the canvas because if we get the heat wave we have been waiting for it will be cooler than the plastic bag. If your wanting to know about the wind I use xcweather
What ever you do have a great time, catch up with you when you get back. xx
