On the "Equipment Forum" Michael on here asked me how to set up a second TV in his Caravan, so that the gran kids could watch different progs to him, through his satellite system.

I gave Michael the solution, as I just saw this request as a technical problem that needed solving, I did not feel the need to berate the chap, regard the virtues of watching one TV whilst camping let alone two.

It may seem a little extreme to some, to have Sky MultiRoom going in your unit, but why not if can be done, no doubt 1975 would like to join that thread, just to balance things up a little!.

I survive so well without TV when I am camping it makes me wonder why I bother with one at home!

I don't feel it's any of my business why people would want to take tv, ehu, computer the same as it's none of their business why I would or wouldn't want to, unless I chose to tell them. But.....

Some people have big busy lives and don't get the chance to enjoy tv in their busy homes

Some people are not fair weather campers and camp many, many times a year. They may have seen those same fantastic views a million times and just fancy a bit of tv

Some people have just returned to their tent/caravan from a 6 hour, 12 mile hike

Some people enjoy spending all their time watching tv, playing computer games just for the sake of it

Who cares...........

Feeblecat thanks - the sensible voice of reason! There are so many sanctimonious people on here I am shocked - so many people seem to spend an awful lot of their time judging those around them - perhaps we should all spend less time worrying and wondering about those people who are not "enjoying the sunrises/sunsets/walking/trips" ... etc etc and just enjoy what we choose to do then we could all celebrate our diversity.

Incidently the noise from a rowdy "tv free" tent where people are chatting and enjoying a glass of wine can often be equivalent if not louder than a tv watching tent - so the "keep it down" rule applies to all!

I look upon all people as inconsiderate selfish individuals and by doing so I am never shocked or disappointed...but I am very often pleasantly surprised

Not quite sure why people feel the need to question how others like to spend their leisure time.

Live and let live.

Lots of great replies, thanks especially to the ones above, which sum it up really. No point in going around in circles yet again, so calling this a day

Cheers

Ian
