so says my OH.  We bought our tent last weekend and due to OH's broken arm, are unlikely to make it camping this summer! However, apparently he is already a camping widower!

I love this site and love the pics of the tents too.  As a newbie, I have loved all the advice and looking at how lovely people make their homes from home!  I have tried not to bore OH too much but have given him a couple of tasks such as electrics/electrical items, lighting, and safety (want him to have buy in on this as to be fair I have been the driving force on this and have had to "persuade" him into this as he likes his five star luxury but I just think this will be great, give us the opportunity to holiday more than once per year (especially being restricted by school holidays from September this year) and our four year son is already picking toys to take on his first camping trip.

I camped a few times about 20 years ago and can't believe how much stuff is available now.  I think we are gonna have to hire a transit for me to take everything I want.  Cupboards, chairs, tables, lamps, heater, beds, duvets, toilet, oh yeah and the kitchen sink!

I am sooo excited and am planning lots of weekends, long weekends away from spring next year and have already booked two weeks at Trevornick in August 2012 for our main holiday. 

OH must be a little bit excited though cos he wouldn't let me have a go at putting up the tent in the sunshine this afternoon, cos he wants to be first!

As soon as we get out there with our new baby (Voyager 6) I will take some pictures to add to the site's collection.  I am already planning on buying the porch (when it is eventually released) so that it gives us somewhere dry to cook (got that tip from looking at all the pictures).

If you have made it this far through my post - well done and sorry for gabbling on, but I just wanted to share with you.

Hehehe - welcome to Campaholics (not quite so) Anonymous! Don't worry - you're definitely not alone. If I'm not camping I'm either shopping for camping, planning camping trips or on here talking about camping, as are so many others!

Hope your OH's arm is better soon so you can get away on your first trip!

We bought 2 x single sleeping bags, 1 x double and some tent pegs and groundsheet pegs yesterday

Can't wait to go again... may go this weekend for 1 night

If I'm not actually camping, then I can be found:
* planning a trip
* drooling over tents
* attempting (and failing miserably!) to downsize my tent collection (in order to justify buying ANOTHER tent - I blame Tina for the piccies of her Cabana!)
* buying yet more camping stuff (half of which will probably never see the light of day, but it was a bargain!)
* spending far too much time on this site!!

So you are definately not alone!!
