They are ok, no different that any other large retail outlet, which are normally let down by individuals and not the company, I normally find their (go ) returns policy is great. Normally any rip on a seam or stress point is fatal....

It was onlt about one inch long from where the pole goes in and stopped where it was folded and double stiched. I was worried i woulnt get it back in time for Grizedale this weekend so i considered stiching it myself. You say fatal , yes. Sooo happy i returned it now....Theyre selling this tent for £949,and are just goin to cut it up..one inch rip man, they must make a fortune just to write it off....
You don't think they may claim it back from Outwell?

you said it failed it's HH test so it wasn't just a rip was it? and I presume failing a HH test means it would leak?? a pretty major fault I'd say.

True it did, but why would they HH test a tent with a ripped pole sleeve.

They could sell the canvas to people who want to make some clip on sides for the front canopy!
I'm a bit worried now - mine's never really been tested by a lot of rain and we're 10 months in....

uuummm maybe they've had a faulty batch and tested in case this was one??
But you struck lucky as if it failed it's HH test and you'd gone camping in the current weather you not be best pleased would you??

I didn't think hydrostatic head was a relevant measure for polycotton tents ?

Surley they should let people know if theres a faulty batch, there selling tents on thier good name and if people are spending so much coin they expect top gear.
tbh have no idea was just speculating!!!

Not surprised it's been destroyed if replaced under warranty. Warranty Fraud is a big problem in all kinds of industries.
Things like that have a habit of being sold "for spares" then a week later being replaced under warranty again a week later.
You should see some of the scams with high end IT hardware!

I think that Go get sl*gged off more for their crazy pricing policy and unrealistic RRP on their own brand products rather than after sales on brand name products

Well when my son tried to return a tent with an obvious fault (not a leak) they wanted to 'test' it too and keep it for 2 weeks - we live quite a drive away.
On the other hand, Yeomans swapped our BL4 withount any hassle or testing on the same day.
I know where I'm shopping in future.
