Are you talking about a cool box cool box or a camp fridge?

If you are putting something warm into a cool environment then you are going to cause some condensation, which in a cool box has nowhere to go (house-hold fridges have drainage holes for this), but if you have a plug in cool box then you are supposed to completely un-plug them from the mains for so many hours in every 24 hour period.

If there is a lot of condensation then I would suggest putting a teatowel in the bottom just to soak up the excess so that it doesn't spoil any of the food in there. Alternatively, make sure everything in it is in plastic food boxes and not cardboard packaging. x

We have an electric cool box, it always gets condensation in it, I just empty it out every couple of days, it doesn't seem to affect anything, just have to make sure the food doesn't get wet, keep beer all on the bottom of it

I always keep it with the lid on the top, but it can go the other way with door at the front (if you get me) maybe then the condensation would run out?

My electric cool box came with a thin removable plastic grid in the bottom, which holds the food up above the drips. I dry it out every couple of days or so and keep food in plastic tubs or bags.

The things that contribute to condensation in a cool box are opening and shutting it a lot, and putting warmer things into it. So I don't leave things like bottles of milk and the butter lying around on the table for hours getting warm, just use them and replace them. I also take all the things for a meal out at one time to save on a lot of opening and closing of the lid. Oh, and I cool down the beer a bit in a bucket of water before putting the dried off bottles in the cool box.
