That's brilliant news, camping for 1 night with 3 kids is in my opinion a big no no! It's bloody hard work, plus the kids all find it hardest to settle on first night. Each time you go you will find things to fine tune your camping and it gets easier and easier and the kids get more used to it.
I have to say I am a mean mummy who makes the kids stick to routine bedtime (maybe the odd night on our 2 weeker) 1 - for my own sanity, 2 - I don't want bloody miserable kids the next day and 3 - they are always knackered after running around all day!

Yes we did 3 nights - over the 3 nights the kids were getting tireder earlier due to all the lovely fresh air and playing....going to bed by 8.30-9pm by the end which I think is acceptable when on holiday, and they were starting to sleep in which was lovely for us! :-)

I used big boys pants for my son who is 5 and my daughter 3 is still in nappies at night as well.

We decided to all sleep together so we undivided the bedroom pods, 2 double aitbeds together and at night my DH and I go and lie with them for half an hour to settle them.

It worked for us as they are always too excited to settle themselves.

Agree totally with all the great advice you have been given.

Our son is 3.5 now, and we recently took him out of night nappies but because he usually goes to bed when he wants when we are away and tends to sleep quite deeply i also use the bed pants.

I worried like mad that he was feeling cold but he never said he was! Picnic blanket from aldi under airbed, fleece then fitted sheet on top, then sleeping bag folded flat (he wont get in it!) and duvet on top!!! oh, and fleecy pjs!!!

Like someone else said we all sleep in same pod too just so i have that extra peace of mind he is ok, but other than that go with the flow and what works for you all. Good luck! x
