Just got back from Ikea today, bought some fleece throws that are normally £2.69 but the baby blue ones are on sale at the Warrington Branch for £1.01p same size as the £2.69 ones and they are also selling cream fitted single sheets that fit our air beds for £1.01p and dustpan and brush sets for (yes you have guessed right)£1.01p ,
Just got to find room in the car for the little extra's, of to Bude,Cornwall on Sunday, cant wait
These fleece blankets from IKEA are the berries! They are cheaper than buying fleece by the metre from a haberdasher's.
We use them to put on the airbed. I've also sewn them into hot water bottle covers and nice soft pouches for things like iPods. Oh, and a sling for baby. And a little neck support for his car seat. And a neck buff for ski-ing (remember to sew with the stretch across the way).
Gosh what brilliant idea's you have given K for the fleece's especially the neck support, think i may have to go back and buy more now, lol, just wished i was good at sewing, i an sew just not very straight lol
Thankyou valbarley i will go and have a root and a toot in The Wood Shop, I love anything glampy lol.
Why do think I've sewn so much stuff in fleece Angie? It's easy peasy. No raw edges to worry about. Just remember it stretches across the way but not up and down.
I did manage to sew a Tiger costume for my son, that i made out of a tiger printed fleece throw lol and it didnt fall apart whilst he was wearing it at school all day, so think i wll having a go, going to nip to ikea and hopefully they have loads left.
