We was all excited about our camping trip to Cornwall on Sunday, even looking forward to the long drive, I have been on pins for last 4 days as Hubby came down with bad cold and chest infection, he is now on antibiotics and seems on the mend, but now my little girl as finshed school today and started coughing and was sick to, so there is a chance they are really not going to be fit for Sunday,

Hubby as said dont cancel yet as daughter could be okay in a day or two and he says he is feeling better, all i can do is hope and pray with fingers crossed that they are okay,as children and me and hubby was so looking forward to the holiday . I have checked the vacancys on club website for our campsite we booked and they are booked up for next 2 weeks, which was the only time we could go away so cant change the booking for next week or week after for this site

Fresh air, sea breezes, and lots of exercise are best cure for most ailments. Go for it Angie.

Angie come on lass you are a northerner not a southern jessie give the little,un a handfull of uncle joes and she will be fine. A good sleep on the way down and she will be too excited to worry about feeling ill when she gets there

But seriously i hope you are all fit enough to go and have a wonderful time

i would weigh it up like this: what's the worse that can happen? She is sick on the trip or it's cold and damp and she has a chest infection while you're down there. I would then see if I could afford a B&B for a few nights as an emergency. If I could afford the contingency plan then I would go as, like others have said, the excitement and sea air can do wonders for anyone. I hope you all soon feel better xx

Find out the name of a GP in the area you are going to or the name of a walk in clinic....you can see a doctor when you are away, the same as you can when you're at home. Children are often sick when they have a cough, sometimes through coughing too much and other times because they swallow the stuff the cough produces....I know that is gross but from experience I know it is true!

For your trip take a few cheap pedal bin liners, (not black bags), and if she feels sick on the journey then you have these on hand to catch any accidents...they can just be tied up and put in the bin..(also experience speaking again lol)

Good luck and I hope you have a fantastic holiday.

Glad she's a lot better. Now stop worrying and go and enjoy yourselves!!! Where abouts are you staying? We went to Cornwall (Porth) at Easter, when we had the heatwave and had a great time.

Staying at Bude caravan and camping club site, couple of miles outside Bude, first time near bude, normally stay near lands end in St Buryan. Very excited now, weather report seems good, everytime we have stayed in Cornwall it's been lovely weather.

Not been to Porth yet alicatz, i might add it to my list of places to visit.

Hope your little girl is feeling better soon new campers ,and hope you have a wonderfull holiday, so worrying is'nt it when childen come down ill,its friday night now and i am still on pins as to how my little one is gonna be by 3am sunday, when we set off, yesterday and today she seemed on the mend but this evening she was sick again due to all the coughing and going hot and cold, she is sleeping now so hope she feels brighter tommorow, Hubby and me have now both said so long as she is'nt being sick and seems better we are going to go, as i can just chill out with her in tent for a few days, reading drawing playing games etc untill she feels better, i know it sounds cruel but if we cancel now and then come monday is better we are all going to be dissapointed so yeh we are gonna risk it.

, normally she is fit and hardly ever ill.. I shall keep my fingers crossed for both our children, and hopefully we will get to go away
