Hi,

I'm new to camping, and have bought an older style Outwell Hartford L (think about 2006 but not sure).

Will the later models of Hartford L carpets still fit the older style tents?

Thanks for your help, and any other info you can give me on what tent i may have would be great

Steph

The custom carpets are normally bespoke, I would measure your tent dimensions and get the carpet that fits the best. I had a coleman tent with an Gelert carpet didnt quite fit (10cm gap at edges) but that didnt matter

The later carpet 2008 onwards will not fit the earler models nor will the later porch fit earlier models. Carpets back then were not as popular as they are now so the chances of finding one are pretty slim, Ebay is probably your best bet. Attwools used to make bespoke carpets dont know if they still do or how expensive they are especially with the Hartfords shape as there will be quite a bit of waste

Hope this helps

I'm not too bothered if its a bit short as my friend has a carpet for her tent thats has a gap of about 10cm all the way round and it doesn't affect things at all. I've resigned myself to the fact that i can't have a porch as our model is around 2006, nevermind! I tried attwools and didn't find them helpful at all, so wont be using them!

Thanks for all info so far guys

Steph

You could use breathable groundsheet and cut it to fit, it doesnt fray when cut, and the newer ones are fairly soft and warm. You may need 2 pieces and some duct tape (gaffa tape0 to join them together.Have a look on Ebay and see what you think

As for the porch, a friend wanted one for his tent (not a Hartford)which he couldnt get hold of anywhere, kept looking on Ebay a tent with porch came up , bought it kept the porch and resold the tent.

Good luck
