Back from the first trip !!! - Son miserable, wife miserable, I'm miserable.

Why?

Because we wish we were still there !!!!!

This was a "trial weekend" somewhere close enough so that if it all went t**s up - then we would just come home. It didn't -

Weather even perfect - !!!

Superb site (Penisar Mynydd - left review), met some new friends, Boy enjoyed making new friends, even managed to get the tent in the bag first time (and not make ar**s of ourselves).

Minor issues with tent - see the other thread here - but otherwise this is definately the right model !

Loved it - can't wait for next week (off to Point Lynas, Amwlch for 6 nights )

yup - just making the list of "must have" items for next week -

Mainly somewhere to put food (the dry store / sauces etc), and a portable DVD for the Boy (I know - but he can't stop up 7 nights until 23:00)

Oh, and a wind break, and fly swat !!!

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
