Rubbish kit * pyramid toaster (should be done under the trade Description Act as mine never made toast!) * camping wardrobe (big, bulky and a real faff to put up)
Unnecessary (but still love to take it with me!) kit * solar lights * bunting * flagpole and flags *
Had my flagpole with me at the weekend and I loved it. Also love my dragonfly/butterfly colour changing lights they are so pretty. No good for lights but nice to look at.
Had a torch each for the kids, as well as my own torch - they weren't needed but were there just in case.
I can manage with less stuff for a weekend than for a week. However I made the mistake of not taking a chair for Alice or the dog ...
Camping wardrobe, worst buy ever, though we do have a low cupboard that we always take as it`s so handy.
Wind up lantern, it gave up the ghost after a month and it wasn`t used that much.
Microfibre towels from Aldi, just moves the water around on you and doesn`t actually dry you.
Large microfibre towels from Primark, for the same reason as the one`s from Aldi.

Those squashy horrible plastic water carriers
Agree with that! And I've never seen (smelled) one, that didn't develop a terrible plastic smell, the older and more used it was. I use a big ALDI bottle now, too.

Without question that awful pyramid toaster. Nothing comes close to being as rubbish. Unnecessary, certainly the wardrobe which is on its way to being sold since ive never used it as yet.
LOL, everyone always says the pyramid toaster. I've always found mine works well, but only on the petrol stove set to "burn your eyebrows off" high setting. I can see how they wouldn't work on a low pressure gas stove though.
Mine works best on a Swedish log. It does need to be hotHOTHOT!

Washing up stands ..... what's wrong with putting a bowl on the table if there's not facilities? When I pack the car it usually feels like I'm taking the kitchen sink anyway
The thing is, the table is always in use for something else, and a washup stand is smaller and more compact than a second table.
I manage to pack my entire, three-tier kitchen stand, four chairs, a folding table, the washup stand, four pairs of walking boots and a box of rock pegs in the wellbehind the driver's seat of the car! That's not including the back seat, which usually houses the tent. So our little washup stand doesn't take up enough space to worry about. I would be taking a bowl anyway, so that's not extra.
And it's great when there's a queue for the washing-up sinks at the site! I love it. Best bit of kit I've ever bought bar the tent!
