Been watching a lovely Relum tent, and I missed out on it in the last few seconds...far do's ya win some ya loose some. Then got offered a second chance bid on it as winner failed to pick it up. Great, over the moon i'm excited, kids excited. Arranged with seller to collect tonight!!
BUT...contacted seller today to arrange a time to go and pick up.......it's only gone and been collected someone else last night.....soooo bloody cross, why offer and then accept a 2nd chance. It doesn't even looked to have been bought by the person who originally won it..grrrrrr I'm a bit mad .
So now I have to try and find something similar......
sadly...fleabay don't give a flying f***. As long as they get their money.
I'm sold a few things on ebay and immediately after, I've received emails offering to buy it if the original sale falls through. I am a bit too honest for that though.
and I've bought things and then had the seller try to claim the sale was invalid so he could recover his fees.
do ebay care? nope....
------------- Half Empty or Half Full, it doesn't matter..it simply means there is room for more beer in your glass!!
And from another point of view I've just gone through the hassle of auctioning a tent package, only for the winner to decide that they hadn't read the description properly and couldn't be bothered to pick it up. Nor could they be bothered to arrange a courier, as the auction also detailed.
The second chance offer wasn't even responded to, so I've had to put it up again. I wish that sellers could give true feedback because that particular purchaser would have received some extremely honest feedback.

just leave him/her negative feedback if you get the chance to.

Fat people are harder to kidnap
I am a bomb technician, if you see me running, try to keep up!
I've only ever had two problems with an ebay seller. On both occasions, ebay helped me further than they say they will. Perhaps worth contacting ebay as they may be trying to get out of paying charges. That's something ebay will probably be interested in. Sad for you though either way. Good luck with your new search.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
Unfortunately you cant leave negative feedback for buyers anymore all you can do is leave a non paying bidder strike which you should do to claim your Ebay fees back
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
yup, ebay changed this policy. Too late for me at one point,
I bought an item, paid immediately with paypal, took two weeks to deliver, and it arrived broken..tried time and again to get it sorted. Posted negative feedback for the seller, who in turn posted negative feedback for me saying I was a bad buyer!!
incidentally, I've just sold a tent on ebay...yet can't get hold of the buyer. Shame Ebay doesn't sue them on your behalf for the costs involved in chasing people who enter into a binding contract and then disappear!!

The buyer then just contacts ebay to have a false positive removed. No point in even trying to bad mouth a buyer, they hold all the cards with ebay. Best to just move on after reporting them to get your listing fees back.
Then buy something they sell and neg the hell out of 'em!!
