Currently at Wild Rose camp site in Ormside, and it's literally raining cats and dogs (quick, duck!). Wifi throughout the site so thought I would post on here.
Wonder how much the tent can withstand, because there is absolutely no sign of it letting up.
Something completely calming about the sound of rain on the tent though. Very relaxing.
We have booked for the 1st september for 4 nights using the daily mirror 95p camping tokens for the sum of £28.50 (which includes 2 adults, 3 kids and EHU). We really enjoyed it last year. The shower block is spotless and the park well presented. I can't wait to go back. Hope its not raining though.
It's a great site, one of our favourites. They do an offer, pay for Monday, get Tuesday and Wednesday free. We booked it online and got another 10% off (type 'online' in at check out), so for three nights we paid about £24, including an addon for the dog. Not bad at all for a 5-star site.
The site was absolutely manic, but didn't feel crowded or in your face (unlike some sites I've been too in the area, one beginning with 'Lowthe' and ending in 'r'), and never had to queue for a shower, or the toilet.
