just spent what has to be in the top 3 finest nights ever camping, the site was just perfect Site
My nephews first trip away with a camp fire so that won him over, the OH done all the planning,
Day 1 arrival





Day 2
quick blast into Cardiff Pricey but some nice buildings


Day 3
A trip to Strumble head near Fishguard to view dolphins and other sea life





Only managed to see a few seals

(one hell of a trek their and back to the site) We went via the Reptile center near Pembroke, A very long day but so worth it got to see Louie





some amazing views and wildlife en route to








met a few locals



and their pets








Followed by a sedate evening







day 4
Packed up and headed home via the red kite center in Rhayader Amazing place

















All in all a bloody great time

Brecon is one of my favourite places though I haven't been to that campsite. Maybe I should put it into plans for 2012. You have some excellent wildlife pictures. I particularly like the one of the red kites looking at the camera.

We've been to the kite centre at Gigrin Farm a couple of times.  It's a stunning sight, all the birds coming down to feed, with buzzards and ravens and other crows too.

Terrific pictures, and the campsite looks great! Thanks for posting.

lovely pics. it truly is an amazing place to camp isnt it.we have stayed a few times at aberbran fach which is the site on the other side of the river.

We are only 7 miles from the red kites, all our campers who visit there enjoy themselves They did have 2 albino kites a few months ago, I haven't heard if they still have them?

I would suggest sending one or two of those in to the Countryfile photography competition. I love the third one.

There are some wicked photo's, We look forward to seeing you down here soon. You cant beat a camp fire camping as it should be nice glass of wine what more can you want, if you want to sit ouside stargazing, all night then thats your perogative, We love it here we have done the rally scene, we have done the big site scene, you cant beat this site, now and again through the season we(seasonal campers) organise hog roasts, barbecue evenings for all the site, and visitors. an we have a wonerful site owner and a great hosts (Andy & Kay).
