Okay, I've had this tent now for 2 years, this is it's 6th time out I think.

First off I had one changed to begin with because the a couple of ties were missing.

This time, the tent is basically fine, but whenever I have a LOT of rain, ie for over an hour, then I do get a few drops travelling down the seams (I sometimes forget to loosen guys, so perhaps too much tension?) . The seams have a kind of plastic in them, so quite surprised. But it happened again yesterday.

Should I re waterproof? Nikwax? How easy is it to do that, does it need to be done while tent is up? How on earth do you reach the top?

Also, the flimsy ties for opening doors, and lifting sides (they now sell bell tents with proper rope ties I think, frustratingly!!). I've had a door one come off, and just know that eventually some of the side ones will. What are my options if that happens? Can I sew some rope or some other material on there myself or will that cause leaks?

AND, the metal door A frame has caused rust marks on the canvas at the front? How best to clean that off?

Sorry for all questions! I've tried googling, but getting mixed info, and generally from sellers sites, would rather know from bell tent owners...
