I'm pulling a face here. The best way to remove bird poo is to allow it to dry, brush it off gently with a soft brush and sponge off any residue with plain water. No detergents, no home cleaning products. A silicone based tent protector spray used as a cleaning solution? I can't help but think you might possibly have sealed thin smears of poo residue onto the canvas.  I doubt it will leak tbh, but you might have marks. Are there still marks?

We did brush it off once it was dry, just kind of cleaned the area after we got it all off.

It is a spray protector we put on the tent each easter to help with water proofing, like you say at least we on't have leaks in those areas of the tent!!!

Can't quite see why you'd be putting waterproofer on a synthetic tent in the first place but as you say, if the treated areas don't leak you've got away with it.
