Just got back from 9 fab nights at Saxdale House Farm (review to follow shortly) but once again I've had to repitch the tent to dry it out. Beautiful sunshine all morning, right up until it was time to pack the tent away and then a downpour that lasted just long enough to soak the tent. I think I have a 100% strike rate for rain on packing up day!

Don't we all? I can't remember the last time we didn't have the back garden filled up trying to dry stuff after every single camping trip.
I just thought it was one of the joys of camping.
we've just done a 2 nighter. was fine for first 12 hours but then I've never seen rain like it, everything's wet. I'll deal with it tomorrow I guess...
------------- April- rosetta 3 nights
May - walled garden 3 nights
June- ??
July- monkey tree 14 nights
We had glorious sunshine for 6 days whilst in Wales, the morning we are coming home it rains.... ok it stopped while we packed up but there was no sign of the sun coming out so we had to repitch when we got back. A pain isnt it!

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again

Nope. I've got a Vango Amazon that has never had to be packed away wet yet. That's after 4 years of camping 3-4 x each summer in the UK. In fact, this last trip at the end of July is the first time I can remember it getting wet at all.
Well your prediction for rain was right, pleased we went home on Friday, not stopped raining since!! hope you enjoy your next holiday, the weather might be better then. Karen & Mike (next tent Saxdale)
Hi Karen, was lovely to meet you both at Saxdale but you definitely left at the right time. Noisy neighbours pitched behind us on Friday , although I think someone might have had a word as they were better on Saturday night.
We had a fab time and have already booked the same pitch for next Summer! It's cost me a fortune in diabolos though as the kids nagged me all way home, convincing me that they really can't camp without them in future!
