We got back at the weekend from our 1st week long trip (had done just a weekend previous) we had a great time , loved my tent , loved all the stuff we have bought for our set up except the cool box , had great weather , loved the site , was really sad to pack up and come home have def got the camping bug now and cant wait till the next trip ..all we need to sort out now is how to pack up quicker and how to fit it in the car lol ! 16 days and counting to the next trip

What was wrong with the Cool Box?

I've just brought a new one and giving it its first trip out tomorrow.

was brill esp for kids , my kids are 3, 5 and 6 months , they loved the entertainment and games at night , loved the park , the pool the funpark etc , beach is fantastic. site was clean had plenty of toilets , showers etc all clean . they had family sized bathrooms (cost £5 for your stay) some were a bath and some a large shower - we found this useful rather than splitting up and getting 1 or 2 of them ready each. only downsides were that you are close up to other tents/caravans so you can hear peoples tvs/conversations etc and the noise curfew is around 11 , however it wasnt super noisy and my kids managed to fall asleep regardless. i see you have a 4 year old - have a day at lappa valley steam railway my boys loved it sooooo much its about 10 mins away , miniature ride on railways , lots of play things / canoes / pedal cars / picnic areas

the electric cool box i just found disappointing , it pooled with water really quickly , didnt really keep that cold even with ice blocks - well it was cold enough for pop etc but i wouldnt want to keep meat in it etc the lid slammed on my finger twice (lol )

Evewidow, thank you for the tip on Lappa Valley,  I have added it to my list of things we want to do when we go.  You are right our little boy will love it. We will pay the £5 for the family bathroom too, as it will be so much easier for us all to get showered together rather than in shifts. Thank you for the tips.

Another vote for Lappa Valley - will be our third visit this year! Don't think we'll manage many more visits as our eldest moans, but enjoys it anyway.
