Another alternative to balls is diabolos. We met a lovely family from Kent on our recent trip to Saxdale House and the two boys (and dad) were impressing everyone with their diabolo tricks. They kindly showed my son how to do it and he spent most of his time on site practicing with them (luckily their dad had his diabolo with him and was happy to lend it to Isaac). The kids were still all playing together and enjoying the fresh air but without risk to the tents/vans.
Since getting back I've bought diabolos for the three of us and the football will now be left at home!
p.s. thanks Debbie and Ian if you see this post!
I tried them but nearly knocked myself out, I was concentrating on the diablo so much I didnt notice that big caravan towhitch.... CRASH bang OUCH! lol I tripped over the hitch and banged my head on the lockerbox! the owner of the van was watching as his son was trying to teach me to use the diablo and he laughed so much that he spat his cup of tea all over his wife!
I think I will leave them to the kids in future lol
