Is this the one where one family are really anti-camping and don't make any effort at all, and the teenage boys in the camping family cause some upset?

Seen this one before, have to admit (don't shoot me down) It didn't really paint a brilliant picture of camping/campers and it certainly made me never want to visit Shell Island, each to their own though

Outdoorlass.I have to agree, after i watched it made me chuckle.
But we dont really do that do we.Im recording it for a mate who wont have a bad word said against Shell island, as he has never seen it before.

I got around to watching it last night, and no wonder people scoff at camping if they think we all camp like that! Sharing a toothbrush, erm, niiice!
Sleeping on the floor, no mats, nothing...I don't think so! And forbidden to wash? What's wrong with heating water and washing in the tent? The island looked beautiful, but the campers were awful!

I remember this programme. Although they seemed like nice enough people, if I saw them move in next to me I would have thought the Dingles had arrived with all their beer cans and rubbish strewn everywhere!

I do hate the way that this program has portrayed camping. It has reinforced the idea that it's cold, uncomfortable and unpleasant.

but that is only cos they took it back to basics in a over zealous way....... why would you share the same toothbrush - even backpacking/camping you could take your own - its not like they weigh a lot or take up much room is it? The family were a bit OTT about the whole basics thing.

Google 'holiday showdown shell island' you get a site called locate TV and they'll say where you can catch it. Perhaps YouTube may have bits of it?
