do you tend to check with, and generally be guided by? So far ive checked with metcheck, bbc weather and the met office for this weekend...they all seem to be saying something different!!
Yip..... Thats the thing with the weather. It just does what it likes. What I tend to do is look at BBC, Metcheck and Accuweather and take the best forecast and go with that one!! OH always tells me im very optimistic when it comes to the weather.

3 nights Sandringham
Last weekend coming up Epping Forest
3 year old boy twins
Choccy Labrador
7 Chickens (yes I leave them at home!)
I don't bother anymore, just take kit for all weathers, a bit of everything. I was caught up in a tent in the famous Michael Fish storms, never trusted a weather forecast since.
I've only abandoned a pitch twice in forty years, both due to flooding. Most times it's enjoyable whatever the weather.
I love being comfy in a tent when it's cats n dogs outside, my tent has a 5000mm hydrostatic head or what ever the term is? heavy rain, especially on a night is really comforting... it's quite a plus for me but I can't really explain it? I suppose it's a bit like playing one of them there relaxation tapes you get from hippy shop?
If it rains all day, a squirt of fabrisil on me sox and I'm champion lol
As to mud at the door way - 3 of them interlocking plasic floor panel squares in a row work really well :-) and I'd rather put a tent up in the rain then take one down!
------------- There's only ONE thing worse than being talked about, and that's... NOT being talked about! :-)
