Had a squirrel pinch a peach from the tent a few years ago .. dropped it outside the tent when disturbed .. we left it at the foot of the tree for it to come back too ... then put all food out of the way.
Had a hedgehog visit my tent in the middle of the night in Suffolk .. came in under the gap in the porch extension .. heard it russle the rubbish bag .. wrapped it up in a canvas bag and transported it back to the hedge nearby .. then put the rubbish bag up away from the floor.
... both was the fault of me (us) for putting the temptation in their way.
...at the site in Suffolk I saw one man have to chase two chickens from his tent that were wandering the site ... pity it was not mine ...if they had not left me an egg for breakfast then they would have been invited by lunch ... as the main course.
When we packed up last year there was a huge bump underneath the bedroom where my two daughters had been sleeping. We discovered it was a huge mole hill. It hadn't been there when we pitched and I've no idea when it happened as they didn't complain about a lumpy SIM!

That happened after I laid a carpet at home once. I did a beautiful job but discovered a small bump right in the middle. The only way I could get rid of it was to stamp on it until it was flat.
Yes, not a good day that day...we lost the budgie too
I too have had a hedgehog visit - old tent without a SIG! I think it was the first excursion for Mum with her three hoglets - who were clearly hungry and noisy. So sweet! Voles have been visiting and I've also been graced by a grass snake causing hysterics on the pitches either side of me!

not experienced anything to bad yet. Although it is amusing to camp in the new forest and watch those that haven't before go to bed leaving all their rubbish and food out in their awning or just outside (as has happened in this years weather). They usually spend the first ten minutes of the day screeching and shouting at cows, horses or donkeys all of which has no effect on these animals who are so used to it they just stand and stare at you whilst invading further into the tent through the now open door!!
