Didnt have much bother with condensation in our large tent, but been buying smaller tent, ( Vango Icarus 300 ) just for 2 of us, and, some bedding felt slightly damp on our camping trip at the weekend, which concerned me.

I love my new tent and this probably wont happen on warmer evenings, but what to do about this on colder evenings with heater on etc. We had our vents open during day.

Any suggestions everyone?

Vents open 24/7, minimal sources of moisture inside the tent (wet dogs, wet clothing, laundry, cooking), air out tent and bedding fully every day.

Mind you you should be doing all that with a big tent too. Just because there's a bigger surface area doesn't mean you're not getting condensation, it's just more spread out. You'll still end up with damp corners (mildew) and clammy bedding if you don't ventilate and air the tent properly.

Dont cook inside and try not to have wet items in tent, usually throw them in car, but, do tend to shut vents, especially one above my bed at night so will leave open now. I always air bedding during day etc and leave doors open , but with small tent , was cold outside at weekend and heater on!  but thanks again for tips, JAAB have never seen them before, thanks

Taking all tips on board, thanks. I like my camping heater on for short while to take chill off tent and only close vents when heater off and Im going to bed, but from now on I'll just keep them open all the time.

Everything all put away till next season now.
