I love camping for the adventure and the unpredictability of it, and I just love being under canvas, right in the middle of all that nature - but we always spend our main holiday - 2 weeks - in a large static.  It's the one time in the year when we have space (house is tiny and cluttered!) and time to relax, and I just love every minute of it.  It would be absolute heaven to be able to spend all my holidays there and weekends in the tent.

I wish you well in your new holiday home, and please don't be a stranger.  Post when you use your Bude!

Oh blimey, better not let my DH see this post, he keeps trying to convince me to get a tin tent, and I am resisting.

we didn't do Shell due to weather, went to Nantcol, was great, even had another Bude 4 on site and we bonded over canopies (not canapes)

still a camper, but so excited about 'moving in' tomorrow PM, and staying all weekend!!!

We have just done the opposite and surrended our seasonal caravan pitch and going back to tenting.

We keep thinking about getting a motorhome so we can get away more often but I think it's just a pipe dream as OH works long hours and doesn't get many hols. Ah well I can dream.

Spent a week in a static in Devon last week and it was bliss there isn't anything else I can add except to say I can't quite bring myself to even think about selling all my stuff yet. I shall have all the winter to look at it and then I shall decide.Happy Camping to all of you hardy souls out there. Marianne

We are going to Ebay the Khyam Cleveland (huge 6 berth) and Freecycle Yeomans Hartington (trusty but well used) and keep our favourite Kampa Bude 4...we are camping end of October for Halloween (our traditional end of season camp) so not getting rid of much internal gear.
