Hi everyone, having just updated our tent to a vango athena (very excited) we also need a new stove. Our new tent is considerably bigger than our last so we need the stove to be compact. We also camp in cold weather so a propane butane mix as gas supply would be great.

Does anyone have any recommendations for us, or also, any stoves to avoid. Our last cost thirty pounds and lasted a year so we are hoping to avoid another expensive mistake.
Thanks in advance if anyone takes the time to help out

Sarah

We have several options depending on whether there is electric hook up or not. If yes then we use an electric griddle plate (bought from Riversway for under £20). We use it for breakfast normally with a toaster. We also have a Kampa two burner hob with grill (gas) very compact but the grill is useless, additionally we have a similar unit we purchased from Aldi and to be honest although more bulky it out-performs the Kampa by a long way. Other units to consider would be the Cadac range, Tesco were selling the Mini Chef recently for £25 (yes we bought one of those also) and very good it is too.
