I love my tent and can't wait to get a lot of use out of it next year. We only started camping towards the end of the summer this year and it is now packed up for it's winter nap. I would camp later or early in the year, but for my OH and little one who would probably not appreciate it too much.
Mind you, as the temperatures have plummeted these last few days, it got me wondering........................ do people really camp over Christmas too?

hi jewelsm.. yes a lot of people camp over xmas. and as exepected. using a good quality tent. ehu as well for those early mornings. can be bitter cold. and going to spend a penny in the snow. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. there are many different types of tent you can use for winter camping. for the best advice. ask in one of the other sections. most people are there.. a double skinned tent is a must. a bit like a flask. fishermans socks as well. keep ya toes warm at night. and don't be scared to wear a long johns set. all helps to keep the cold away. i used to camp in the snow many many moons ago. but at least we had a decent tent. 6 berth. and a heater. albeit gas. but only on for about two minutes. until we were dressed. were you thinking of doing some camping this winter. down south will be best as it is a little warmer down on the south coast areas. and if possible. as near toa village as you can get. bound to be a pub there that just maybe be open xmas dinner time.and if ya order ahead. you can have a hot decent meal. .
I have already booked into Devizes C&CC over the Christmas weekend, 4-nighter, Fri 23 Dec as soon as I finish work hopefully around 13:00h, until Tue 27 Dec.
Went to the site to speak to the Site Manager and we have a plan where they can put me, as they normally do not have any grass pitch with EHU this time of the year.
It is only 6 miles from home, and I cannot wait!

I shall be taking my new Hypercamp Escala 4 which is a proper cotton canvas tent with a ZIG. Hopefully, it will be warmer and less drafty than my Khyam Excelsior XL as seen in Bob's pic.
Can't wait!
