new tent arrived today... now the proud owners of a Glendale 5. Was so long looking for the perfect tent was convinced it didn't exist. A separate porch is a must with our twins! They will be 2 by the easter hols.. We love a spacious campsite. Have always gone outside of term time with the kids as the space is a must if we are to get any peace and avoid the wee ones trying to enter other people's tents/cars, but I am returning to work as a teacher in January so it is no longer an option to go outside of term time. We camped anywhere when it was just the two of us (pre kids!) in our poky 2 man. Any tips for lovely spacious (no pitch restriction) campsites? *I*am*so*excited.

We got our new trailer tent at the end of this season ( august ) and have not used it yet.

It seems so long to wait but now the new year is upon us i am really starting to get excited 24

We have gone far and wide so anywhere really. We are based in south east so we save local sites for shorter trips and sites further afield for longer trips.

If you don't need EHU, you could try Shell Island in Wales. Meant to be fab and I do love that whole area.

I have friends that swear by Shell Island!!
We have a site near us that is on a farm.. so has farmers markets, craft barns, petting farm, play grounds, lake with fish!!!, car boot next door... £10 per night! Oh and best of all allows camp fires

If you do go to Shell Island, take in a night at Nantcol Waterfalls too.  Brilliant site with no pitch restrictions.  They do EHU, but I think you might find the pitches are more strictly marked out on that field.

There's also Rynys, near Betws-Y-Coed.  Lovely place, wonderful views and the nicest owners you could ever hope to meet.

Both sites very family friendly.
