If any members have any photo's of this tent when up especially the porch could you please reply and I will view your profile.  There is one for sale in our local shop for £299.  However, there is none up on display.  We have seen the Outwell Hartford XL up on display for the same price so we are unsure what to buy as my wife prefers to see the tent up before buying.

I know this is a really old thread but we have just bought a 12XP for my outlaws.  We have put it up but wonder whether we are a pole missing.  Is there one that supports the rear bedroom section of the flysheet.  It seemed to sag a little.

We don't have the instructions unfortunately (bought it off e-bay, never used, but without the instruction sheet.  Worked out the main poles and the porch pole but aren't sure about the back bit.

Can anyone help us out with this?

Hi, we have the sunncamp olympic, by the sounds of it Kazz it doesnt have a pole at the back.   The trick is to make sure that you pull the inner tight, then make sure that the outer is inline with the inner and pull it tight.  We had the same problem, but eventually worked it out, as i dont think we were making sure that the outer was straight.   Practice makes perfect [:)].

Hey Andy have you been to united caravans at wideopen, newcastle?  Thats where we got our sunncamp.  And there was a garden centre in Prudoe (sorry cant spell it), that has other tents up other than sunncamps.

Hope this helps.   We are going to sell our sunncamp as we have brought a folding camper

Thanks Sahara - this helps.  Have also seen a pic on another thread which shows we also put the flysheet on back to front but I'm not the only one to admit to this.

You are so right - practice makes perfect

We'll put it up again before we go away at easter and see if we can't get it right.  I would really, really like a trailer tent but my hubby has an aversion to towing anything - he's scared it might morph into a caravan, and then he'd have to go off and kill himself or some such grand gesture ( though not literally of course).

Thanks for your help.

We have the Olympic XP, and always find that the rear bedroom is more saggy than the 2 side rooms. We only use it for clothes and bits anyway.

I've always found the XP to not hold up in fierce winds.  Has anyone else had that problem

Ours has never been a problem in windy conditions, but I do take the time the securely peg everything out, and there are loads of pegging points on mine.

Thanks for all the info guys.  Will post a reply when we put it up in windy weather, but nice to know that "saggy" is normal for the rear bedroom.  Definitely will take time to peg out properly as well.

We are going away on 1st April so will let you all know how it went when we are back.
