We've already got a Vango which we've had for 8 years and loved that. I bought a pop-up 2 man tent from Millets a couple of years ago and wished afterwards I'd bought Vango Dart instead.
We've been looking at those as we have an Icarus 300 but were concerned that the tension straps would get in the way as they hang down quite far. It is not too bad in the I300 because it is only small.
Would be interested to see a pic of someone stood near them once you've got it pitched to see if they are an issue.
We have the Samara 400 and don't have any problems with the tension straps, we only use them if it is really windy as this is what Vango recommend and when not in use they fold into a little pouch.
Tent arrived today whilst I was at work,so our lovely took it in for us. I could see it sitting in her hallway this afternoon and couldn't get to it as she was then at work But it is now sitting in my living room with our cat laying on it. (Please don't wee on it puss!)
For some strange reason at 10pm on Monday evening, my hubby won't let me put it up in then garden. Hope he gets home early from work tomorrow!

We put the tent up up last night in the garden. The cat thought it was brilliant, great place to hide from those humans...
We do have a slight problem, which hubby has now hopefully sorted with Tamworth Camping where the tent came from, in that we've only got 3 poles and should have 4. Hubby emailed them last night and they've promised to send us the missing one.
It should be ideal for what we want and it looks like we'll be able to put a small pop-up inside as well if we need to should anyone else decide they want to stay.
I was going to take photo's, but the kids were starting moan about not having their tea! So when we get the replacement pole we'll have to put it up again and then I'll get the camera out.
