I think you will be fine. One of the big problems with camping early or late season is what to do during the day as it usually isnt warm enough to lounge about outside the tent but if you are on a Haven site that will make a big difference.

The other dilemma is that you always need to book for EHU at Easter so its no good waiting until you can look at the weather forecast!

We have had very cold nights in July and August so as far as I am concerned it just goes with camping. We have started to use EHU more nowadays because its just more comfortable and thats important to me - must be getting old!

Agree with others on here too.

We previously started May bank hols but really want to get away over the Easter so have bought a fan heater at B&M (with thermostat) which was only around £8 and are going to do EHU also.

Site we are hoping to get booked on also does firepits to hire and is only around an hour drive from home.

Hopefully if you do similar along with plenty of blankets, hot water bottles and hot drinks you will all be toasty.  Get it booked, like you say if weather not good then your are not losing a fortune and if it is you are laughing - win win!!
