I wouldn't touch a second hand plastic tent because they're not fixable and have a limited life but yesterday I won a Relum Canaria 4 for under seventy pounds on Ebay which looks to be in good condition and even if it isn't and takes (say) £150.00 or so to mend I still have a bargain.
I reaallllyy need a teepee now!!! wish you hadn't posted the pics !!! and the website is out of stock now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gggrrrrrrrr
We're glad you like it, one reason we bought it. It's so retro, not that we want to stand out. The space inside is vast. On our next trip later on this week we're taking the 2 plastic cups and string so we can talk to each other when at opposite ends of the tent.
We bought a second hand montana 6 with a footprint and carpet. Also got a load of other kit included paid £500 for a pretty much a full setup. This will be our first year camping and i didn't want to spend a fortune for my wife not to like it.
I won the auction, drove up and pitched the tent on a piece of green near his house. I fully inspected it and then paid for it.
payed 49 pound for a Kalahari 8
description was : used once from brand new bought back due to water leakage
she got it thinking hey presto a quick water proof
but alas their was nowt wrong with it no leaking at all
some of the tents have tiny minor defects that most people could easily fix
we actually think its some sort of go outdoors used tent site

Thanks I've been watching this seller for a while now, got my eyes open for a Hi-Gear Corado 6.
good luck the only problem we have figured out is theirs maybe a hand ful of buyers buying them and then selling them on at profit so some of the bidding wars can get pretty hardcore (i recommend a sipper)

We are new to this tenting business after years of caravanning and we had no problems in buying a used tent over a new one, as luck would have it we got ours locally with a few accessories as the previous owners didn't enjoy the experience of camping.
