Still umming and arring about it.
It's of snow on north yorks moors and Cleveland hills and also on the Durham dales. Ahhh I will hav to decide in the morning!

Snow thawed quite a bit so not too bad when we left and a nice day. Night not good as had to be getting snow off tent at 3am (collapsing awnings on caravans was quite motivating!). At 5am there was a power cut which meant no fan heater so that made it colder. We had plenty of sleeping bags, fleece blankets and hot water bottles though. Until that point cold had not been an issue really - bigger worry was weight of snow on tent. Other issue was very wet and muddy pack up today, though tent fly dry. If you are prepared then should be ok.

We have the dilema of should we go or should we stay at home.

We have booked nantcol going on Friday this would be our 2nd camping trip and I am concerned it will be far to cold for my wife and son, my wife is nesh and loves the warm, I have checked the met weather and 6c would take one hell of a lot of sweet talking.

My heart tells me to go but my head tells me no especially after reading what others have endured, it might be easier for me to have  BBQ in the garden.

I will contact nantcol and cancel on Thursday,

Paul
