We also went to near Banbury and I wouldn't have missed it for the world despite the weather. We were cosy by night in our thermals and fleecy sleeping bags, and were out and about by day. We all went to bed at 8.30 to read (and keep warm ) and were asleep by 9!! The extra sleep we get when camping is one of my favourite things!!
When we woke up this morning to sunshine I wished we could still have been away, and was a bit sad that we'd not woken up to the sun over the weekend.
The only problem with camping is the state of the house when you get back (from a wet trip) with the tent hung up to dry from the bannisters and the kit everywhere waiting to be be checked before putting away for next time.
Hope you manage to get some fair weather this week - it's certainly more sunshine and showers than constant rain I think!
