Ok! So it was only in the back garden over the weekend, as the forecast was just too bad to go away, but it was enough to keep the kids happy and it was great to get the tent up and try out the new beds and check out where the new 'furniture' would go!
As I so enjoy looking at other people's tent photos, I'm going to try to upload a few of ours.......haven't done this before, so hope it works!

Spot on elizaD!

Ma+Pa Clampett - it's sold as a 6 berth, but really it's just big enough for us 5 and that's because 3 of them are 'little people'! I wouldn't recommend it for any more than 4 adults.

Jewelsm - absolutely!! 73 days until we leave for France.......can't wait. This is an entirely new type of holiday for us as we've never done the car/ferry route before, never mind camping for 2 weeks! The only blip is the fact that my 2nd daughter is very anxious about the ferry would prefer if we were flying. We've no idea what has brought this on as she has only once been on a ferry and that was from Hollyhead to Dublin 3 years ago and it was a perfectly smooth, non-eventful trip! Of course all the current Titanic coverage is not helping!

Weather permitting we're hoping to fit in a couple of weekends camping before France

Def must be all the titanic coverage that must be causing your daughter some concern. I remember years ago when the herald of free enterprise sank being really scared about our ferry holiday

They are Outwell Posadas beds - kids were very comfy just with fleece blankets under their sleeping bags but hubby wasn't comfy until he put a SIM on the camp bed.

I'm always really jealous of people who have room to put their tent up in the garden! Your set up looks great.

I love the look of that tent.  It's funny because I have a passionate dislike of Montanas and I hate the aesthetics of canopies (even though I have toyed with the idea with myself as I get the usefulness and flexibility) - but that just looks so neat and has everything.  Happy camping :-)

Thanks for all the lovely comments
Yes, we are very happy with it and are really looking forward to a good long stay in it in France. We bought it last June and only had 2 weekends in it last summer, so we don't feel we've really had a good try out yet. We didn't put down the carpet in the living area or the bath tub ground sheet in the front porch at the weekend, but they really add to the comfort. We have everything packed away in the trailer (that we've just had to buy to fit all the camping equipment) in the garage, so that at the first sign of a good weather weekend we can take off at short notice
