I'm getting bad! Blame joining UKCS!!
For a one nighter or two nighter with a quick getaway, it's the Fusion or Phoenix if two of us going. If it's a more leisurely 2/3 nighter it'll be the Kairos 400; it'll also be the latter if rain is forecast - several of my friends have small tents and we're all getting to an age where it's good to be in the dry. I have bought a carpet for the Kairos and a new deep airbed but it'll be back to the SIM for the other two as the bed won't fit!!! It will fit the Caranex though which will still be used for the different pitch each night job.
Task next week is to sort out the spare room (filled to the brim with tents, etc.) and pack things into relevant boxes/piles so I can grab which one I want for task in hand.
I've never felt tent envy (well except perhaps in the pouring rain in the pop-up and me knees killing me - latter reason for Kairos) and just love to see people having different tents for different purposes. The only time for reverse tent envy is when someone pitches their enormous tent and their guy ropes are on my pitch!! So long as we enjoy ourselves and respect others, each to their own!
