then if clocking any intruders with a big torch doesn't work then spray the deodorant in their eyes. if you want to feel safe visiting the loo at night keep the deodorant in a pocket and a lighter in the other hand... instant flamethrower and when up in front of the judge you can tell him you acted on Impulse ;)

I've been looking at bicycle trailers - the sort you put small children or dogs in - I went to see/touch at a bike shop yesterday and was surprised to find how light they are.  You could walk one of those about with stacks of kit in very easily.  They are expensive, but I see there are quite a few on auction sites ... if I ever become homeless, that's what I'd be looking at to get about the country with all the home comforts with me!

I've often thought what I would use if the great she-devil ran off with the milkman and I had to go solo possibly without transport...I decided I would use a child's push-chair. I could get a huge amount of kit in it and most public transport accept these vehicles. Plus a lot easier to push rather than a suitcase on wheels.

For some reason, that has really made me laugh. I can picture you with boots and billy cans haging from the pushchair.

It also reminded me of a sweet old tramp who used to be around Croydon when I was a kid. He pushed all his stuff around in an old Silver Cross pram.
