Ive just managed to get rid of the mildew on one of the bedrooms of my Nebraska that I purchased on ebay.I bit the bullet and put it in the washing machine,my good lady was at work! I put two capfuls of milton in the soap dispenser and one capful in the conditioner dispenser and put in on a 40 degree cycle.I did not add detergent.I put this on twice and to my delight its come out perfect. The other bedroom is in the wash as I type!Just thought id share my success.
thats excellent, did it leak bad?ours was leaking in quite a few places, ive resealed the seams that looked a bit dodgy, today i coated thr outside with fabsil,it seems a bit of a taboo to some but if it works why not.did the fabsil not damage the seam tape inside?glad your leaky nebraska is no longer leaking,it gives me hope that mine will be ok.
What an excellent solution! I too had a dodgy Ebay experience and Milton sorted the inner of my. Outwell Nevada perfectly.
I do have one question though, there is some mildew on the inside of the outer tent and wondered if I wiped diluted Milton on to remove it and rinsed well, it would affect the water integrity of the tent as I believe this is where the material is coated?
Yes use diluted Milton to clean the inside of the flysheet but rinse rinse and rinse it off again might not get rid of the marks but it will kill the spores and stop it spreading
