Its all camping, whether its in little cul de sacs or in a no frills rally field.
If its your thing go and have fun, I love little sites like this.

We have a porta loo, never caused us any concern or made us ill. As others have said, just warm some water up and jobs a good un for washing

Its funny how some people can not handle a little inconveneance must have all the facilaties. in the 1950 a camp site toilet was a tin shed with several buckets with wooden seats filled with Elsan blue dirt floor and a cold tap outside.

I would love to camp with no facilities but having to use public transport makes it really impossible, I like the cat litter idea but wouldn't be able to do it if no doggy do bins were there. I've also seen this

you can buy bags that have gel crystals inside but again if there's no bin you can't get rid.

The "no facilities" sites have a bare minimum of water tap and CDP (chemical disposal point). If you have a porta-potti or similar, CDP is how you deal with it - no need for cat litter and dog bins, not sure how that one got started?! As a pet owner, I'm not sure I'd like to find the dog bin crammed full of human waste!

In the words of Captain Mainwaring, it all runs (and has done for many years) like a smooth, well-oiled machine ..
