Starting to look out all my stuff for my wee holiday in May 4th to 6th. Got my new outwell fridge and blue diamond wind break. Going 20mins up the road to Scone. I work mornings so OH is going to run me up with the stuff at lunchtime and then kids will join me after school when everything is set up, sorted! can't wait!
same, i'm heading out on the 3rd of may till the 8th. Heading to badminton horse trials. Cant help myself, keep checking over my packing list and hoping i havent forgotten anything! Really really excited!!

2/3rd - 9th may 2016 - badminton horse trials
6th - 11th July 2016 silver stone woodlands
We are going that weekend too but am getting a bit concerned about the poor reviews of the site we have booked! Although I notice the bad reviews were mostly from people who had booked statics and it was cos they weren't very clean! The main downside I saw about camping field is it gets very muddy or flooded in wet weather! Please please let it stop raining by May so we are not pitched in a lake....
------------- 2015 April: Polstead, Suffolk. May: Two Acres, Ely. Waveney River Centre and Whitehall Farm, Norfolk. Aug: Howstean Gorge / The Quiet Site / Fron Farm / Cae Du / Trevayne Farm - BOOKED!
Im a bit worried about the rain also melmel74. As long as i get the tent up during a dry spell im determined to enjoy myself. Last year we camped part of March and most of April due to the long holidays and the weather was great. Cant believe this will be my first trip this year.
We are going 4th-7th May and I can't wait already packing and have lists for everything this year as I'm determined to be organised and not forget anything.
Snap carasash. We too are going to Scone 4th-7th May so will look out for you guys. We are taking our Outwell Virginia 5 so come and say hello if you see us.
I have been busy too this week sorting through our camping gear. I will hopefully get the sleeping bags and bedding washed and dried on the line tomorrow weather permitting of course.

We are off on the 6th also. to Oswestry for the start of our long haul. But Bob said if the wind is a gale it is not point as we cannot put the fc up in it, and no longer have the vw campervan we had to fall back on a couple of years ago. So sleeping in the car already filled up to the ceiling does not appeal to me. But just a 15 min break in the rain would get us up sufficient to be able to cope, well not with gales wind.
Please please stop the wind as it has been a long waited camping spree. Seems the weather is rubbish all over the world.Maybe warmer but having stronger winds & more rain than normal.
Then Clitheroe, Scarborough, Mablethorpe, Plstead, Hertford.
I'm also off on the 4-7th, I've got my tent, blow up mattress, I'm borrowing 2 sleeping bags (I'm a big girl and one won't be big enough), all I have to get is a camping stove and something to sit/recline on.
I'm also very excited, I just need a dry day to put up my tent to make sure I can do it.
We're away the same weekend to York Meadows so fingers crossed for better weather. Had all the equipment out of the garage last week, washed, sorted and repacked into plastic boxes. Was hoping to get the tent up in the garden but there's barely been a break in the weather. Spent last night making a casserole & a bolognaise sauce to freeze so getting giddy now
Seems like a popular weekend (I suppose with it being Bank Holiday) We're going to Scarborough C and C site and my Mum and Dad are joining us too. They haven't been camping for ages and keep joking that if it's raining they're not getting out of the car.I know they won't though as some of our best camping trips when I was a kid were in the pouring rain
