I have a MONTANA 12 tent by Outwell. I managed to lose the entire pole set (including the bag)- ouch! I cannot get replacements. Outwell have told me they will send me replacements for £400! I have been told by my local official Outwell supplier that all they will do is make my set from parts of 2 sets of Montana 6 poles! I have found plenty of Montana 6 pole sets on ebay- I can buy 2 complete sets for £200. What I want to find out is how easy/difficult it is to turn 2 Montana 6 sets into 1 Montana 12 set- does any body know what's involved & can I do this job myself?
Thanks
Nigel.
I had a look at the Montana 12 in the tent review section, and to me it looks as if the 12 is just a prolonged version of the 6 with one extra pole. The hight of both tents is 215 cm, but I am not sure about the width. The Montana 6 is 415 cm wide, and I think the Montana 12 might be 405 cm, so there might be a problem there.
If the 10 cm difference is no problem, you only need one Montana 6 pole set and one extra pole.

I may be wrong but I have a sneaky feeling the montana 12 was based on the pre 2008 montana 6 which was narrower than the 2008 onward models so the poles from the later models would be different length but poles from the earlier model (without the side porch) may be ok
