Many, many thanks for all the replies, never expected to have so many this quickly :) I can understand the warnings about tent envy and the ever increasing list of things 'I must have' :) Spent most of tonight oohing and ahhing at other peoples set-up. Not sure if I have allocated myself enough in the budget, lol!
L Gillgan: Thanks for the info on decathlon, that must be the new camping shop the guys in work were telling me about but no-one could remember the name, lol. It's out near Ikea so not exactly in Belfast but close enough :) I was going to check out the two shops in J1 for the bits and bobs but wasn't sure if they did any tents. Will check them out at the weekend as I only live 2mins up the road. Good to see another N.I. person on here :)

Unfortunately the cheapest return ferry trip including car would add another £160 to the cost of any tent I could get off ebay so thats not an option.
I have found the Carolina M still on sale at Springfield Camping for £199.00 new but the free shipping only applies to UK Mainland addresses (as usual!). I've emailed them asking for a price to ship here so will see what that is hopefully tomorrow.
As a backup I've also been looking at the Vango Icarus 500 which I can probably get somewhere local but it just doesn't seem to be as open as the Carolina with its big windows.
I've also found two local Cotswold Outdoor shops, one in Belfast city centre and one just outside it and, of course, there's the Scout Shop so going to (hopefully) take this Friday off work to investigate :) Whats the betting my bank account will be considerably lighter by the weekend? lol
