We got Argos value convector heater. It kept us cosy over Easter and is silent. It is bulky compared to alternatives but we have a trailer so not an issue. We're camping in the woods this weekend so no EHU for us just a big campfire and a rum n coke to keep us warm!!!
Whether it will trip will depend on the site suppy - usually 10amp or 16amp but can very occessionally be as low as 5amp.
We have a cheap fan heater with variable thermostat, cool blow and frost protection. We use it on the 1kw setting with the heat set at about 1/2 and this is more than enough to heat our Khyam Ontario 8 tent. We have left this on all night and the thermostat just clicks on and off in order to maintain the temperature.
We use a fan heater that keeps us warm and has a safety cut out if it is knocked over. We have fever needed to use it on the high setting, but use the lower setting just to take the chill out of the air in the evening before going to bed or first thing in the morning.
------------- Jewelsm - a fair weather camper
August 2013, 14, 15, 16 & 17-Trevornick for two and a half weeks of sea and surf (and ever optimistic -lots of sun). Some other weekends if I can persuade DH
we use one of these from Argos. Have used it on both the first and second heat settings. Did find with the second setting it was just a tad too warm. Overall its a great little heater and also has a safety cut off switch on the bottom in case it gets knocked over.
We have an Outwell Fan Heater M and it has been great.
It is really small and has variable power settings, we even leave it on overnight on the low setting using the built-in thermostat so that it only kicks in to take off the early morning chill. It also has a cut-out in case it falls over.
It is powerful enough to keep the living area of our Montana toasty-warm.
Its another vote for the outwell m heater. We are using ours just now as we are away camping. Its great as it has various heat settings, a safety cut out, thermostat and it ocillates. We got it in the Yeomans sale 3 years ago.
