We are going off with friends this weekend not camping but to heated wigwams ( I feel I am cheating on my lovely tent haha)
Will be a good weekend but not sure how I feel about the wigwams so going with an open mind.
Site looks lovely and only 40 mins away so will be checking out there tent field as would be handy for a quick getaway.
We have our own firepits and BBQ at the wigwam which will be nice so I am sure a gin or two shall be drank around the fire.

That sounds great, am really jealous now though ! We can't get away as the car is off the road, probably till the middle of next week I think we might just camp at home instead, better than nothing ?
Purplerain do you know if there's a proper bit to say hello - like for us newbies to introduce ourselves ? I've looked on this website before, though mainly at the campsites, but can't see a bit for that.
Where are you off to Purplerain? Quite fancy the wig-wams but like you feel it would be a bit of a cheat on the tent, less hassle tho and more time for gin!
There's not a specific bit for newbies Ms foxylox. Why not just start a new thread, asking something and introducing yourself that way. Its a really friendly forum so there's bound to be someone who can answer your questions for you and don't be embarrassed, we've all had to start somewhere. Welcome!
Welcome ms foxy lox just ask away any questions I was the same as yourself at first but I honestly would never have managed camping if it was not for this site and all the help and answering my stupid questions.
Swany they are at mains farm in thorn hill stirling , I would rather take the tent but I am sure they will be good fun and they are £30 a night and sleep 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults so good price.

Sounds great and definately good fun! Been on a few sites with them but not tried them out. My mil has bad arthritis so thought this might be a good compromise as she couldn't do an airbed or anything - will be interested to hear how you get on.
Thanks you two ! I think I'll just sort of pop on to threads like I've been doing then, don't fancy making a big thing of introducing myself - even if ther'd been a special `hello' thread tbh I was sort of dreading it anyway !!!
I've always wanted a wigwam, hubby had one when he was a little lad but it was only about 3 ft high mind Purplerain I hope you can take some pics & put them on for us to see here, that'd be great.
Yes I will take loads off pictures hopefully the weather will be dry at least for the camp fire.
