I would take it back to go outdoors
On a polyester tent like yours the waterproof membrane is on the inside of the flysheet and therefore shouldnt leak if it does then there is something wrong with the material. The most likely place for leaks is the seams due to the stiching and these are normally sealed with tape again on the inside
Are you sure it isnt condensation as if you are using it at this time of year a lot and I mean a lot of condensation can occur
