In a word NO not for over night.Any type of heater that burns a fossil fuel, gas ,petrol or it'sdirivitives, coal etc,WILL give off CO2. If you want a heater that is safe to be left on over-night,I would suggest an electric heater,be it a fan, convector or radiator type. Also any bbq that has been used, should be left outside the unit until it has gone fully out and all the used fuel emptied out if it is a charcoal type.
I have one of these heaters and have used it without problem, but I follow what I have written below.
This type of heater is alright if everyone is awake, but when it is in use,if anyone starts to feel suddenly tired,it should be turned off,and the unit ventilated.
We use a fan heater bought for £7.99,and have a very small table to stand it on,and have not had any problems, our main concern was that it would be knocked over, especially by the dog,but he just lies in front of it staying warm, but at a safe distance. He is not allowed to go too close to it.

------------- If the moon reflects the suns light, why does it not reflect the suns heat?
