Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. finally got hubby to agree to go away this weekend. in the £50 tent with about £300 of gear..m that was a cheap tent lol.

toss up between witch's Craig by the Wallace monument or pine trees leisure park in Tyndrum. not going to look at any more because I want to visit them all!

the ehu and sofa will arrive today so I think Im looking forward to sitting in it with my feet up on the regatta table leaning on my home made quishion with maybe a few beers in the lidl cool box.

all bargains posted on here by you guys so thanks for all the help everyone. hoping I won't be a family camping virgin much longer. ( not counting the camping I did in crawly in tents and the boyfriend with the old ambulance conversion)

Hi aliurotoo. I can highly recommend Witches Craig. We have been several times now and love it. Go there this weekend as the tent pitches will be fine due to the dry weather. As you may know,Witches Craig does not take tent bookings until 2-3 days prior to arrival due to the location and problems with flooded pitches in the past, so go when you can. You will have a ball

I've just sent off a request to PineTrees - hubby liked that one better and even suggested we go for two nights - result!!

I figured if they don't have availability then witches craig would be next, as they only let you book 2 days in advance.

have a great weekend all those who are lucky enough to be off. Apologies to those who are out earning money for their next tent ;)

Hey Janet I left you a wee message on another post. your son and I take it his girlfriend were fine. Had a wee chat with them last night and today before we left had to take our time packing up as it was so hot. Everything all packed away for our next trip bank holiday in june. Your tent looked lonely in the corner once we had took ours down and Jack missed playing with Kayleigh and Charlie. It was so nice to meet you and your family. Hope to bump into in the future.

Good idea Janet to take paddling pool. The kids will have lots of fun and keep them nice and cool. You will be well chuffed you have Sunday off, that's great. Hope you all have fun and keep in touch. Get on facebook and connect to me. Look for Anne Adam JOHNSTONE. Enjoy your weekend in the sun. Think Jack and I will garden camp
