And all the rest of this stuff on the entire site about tents and equipment is a cover for the fact that you all jet like to drink a lot? Excellent! I've found some friends!

lol its like a mobile AA meeting!

i find it gets much worse if it rains the more water that falls (after the inevitable double and triple guide rope checking, worrying about small amounts of pooling water getting very wet and wondering why you didn't check it all when it was dry!)

the more alcohol that gets consumed!

My wife hates camping I have to almost drag her there which is a shame because when she gets there she enjoys it - strange woman.

Hehe! Must be a universal truth....I was "director" of our's, & things were going great until OH got all enthusiastic & dived on the partially folded tent to get the air out - it unrolled like a party blower  I was NOT impressed....needless to say he does as he's told now  well, mostly! And a celebratory alcoholic beverage makes everything better again!! Another boozer here *waves*

I hated the idea of camping when we went first time. We had no kit, a naff tent, no heaters or entertainment, We had a tent we had to mop for condensation and lying on cheap poundland rollmats that ripped! I even had excruciating back pain in the morning... and i was addicted!

Admittedly I have spent stupid amounts of money on our set up now, but we went away to a static last year and me and my wife did nothing but moan that our kit and set up were better than what we had in the static! Even the oven wasn't as good as the trusty cadac!

Bought a newer, bigger tent this year, but the motto of this is that the more you go, the more kit you accumulate, the better the holidays are! I am sure you will come back addicted and end up buying everything including the kitchen sink!

Camped since 2008 and still loving it!
